Horizons on the Hudson Celebrates the Week of the Young Child

UPDATE | NYS ELA Testing Postponed one day
All NYS ELA Assessments scheduled to take place in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District will be postponed by one day. This schedule change is due to unanticipated intermittent connectivity issues experienced in our district.

New Windsor School had its second trimester Gold Card Event to celebrate all the students who followed the New Windsor School Expectations: Be Responsible, Respectful, Ready, and Safe.

Heritage Middle School Artists Create Kaleidoscope Designs
Students in Ms. McCarthy's class at Heritage Middle School created kaleidoscope designs with symbols that represent their interests and goals. These radial designs were rendered in marker and colored pencil.

Registration is now open for South Middle School's annual Books and Breakfast event. This free event will be held on Saturday, May 17th from 8am - 11am at South Middle School.

CALENDAR REMINDER & UPDATE | APRIL & MAY 2025
This is a friendly reminder that the District will be closed from Monday, April 14th - Friday, April 18th for Spring Recess. All schools and building offices will reopen on Monday, April 21st.

Music in Our Schools Month Field Trip
Eighty seven music students from the NFA Main Orchestra, Chamber Strings, Robert D. Williams Tenor Bass Chorus, Wind Ensemble, Cécile Chaminade Treble Chorus and Madrigal Singers visited the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY to perform.

Unlimited Horizons | Application Now Open
The application for our Unlimited Horizon's Program is now open. Scholars in grades PreK-4 can express their interest for the 2025-2026 school year by filling out the Unlimited Horizons Interest Form.

March Madness for 4th graders at Meadow Hill 2025! Bracket up for Multiplication fun!
We’ve been working super hard on our multiplication facts this year, so we always take advantage of this month’s March Madness by having our very own Multiplication March Madness!

UPDATE NYS ELA Testing Resumes Tomorrow (April 9th)
Testing will resume tomorrow. Students who were originally scheduled to test on Tuesday and Wednesday will now be testing on Wednesday and Thursday.

Meadow Hill Yearbook | Now On Sale
This year’s yearbook is currently on sale online. Online purchasing will be open until May 2, 2025.

NYS DOH Issues Travel Advisory for All New Yorkers due to Measles Outbreaks in US and Abroad
The New York State Department of Health today issued a travel advisory for all New Yorkers urging them to ensure they are fully vaccinated against measles before international travel or travel to an area in the U.S. experiencing an outbreak.

We were informed that the Orange County Department of Public Works will close part of Gardnertown Road to repair the Gardnertown Bridge.
